Halfbrick Studios has officially expanded the “Barryverse” with Jetpack Joyride Racing, a real-time multiplayer kart racer that moves away from the series’ endless-runner roots into the competitive world of high-speed racing. Following a successful soft launch in select regions, the game is set for a global Android rollout on March 19, 2026, with the iOS release following on April 10, 2026.
🎮 Gameplay Mechanics: Momentum and Mastery Unlike traditional kart racers that rely on a simple “go” button, Jetpack Joyride Racing introduces a unique Skill-Based Momentum System.
Twin Jet Engines: Your vehicle’s thrusters are always on. To gain maximum speed, players must angle their jets against track walls—getting close enough to harness the thrust without “scraping” the surface, which causes significant speed loss.
Tactical Drifting: Success depends on mastering the drift mechanic to maintain speed through tight corners and complex laboratory-themed circuits.
Dynamic Track Zones: Races are defined by three distinct tactical zones:
Charge Zone (Green): Provides a rapid speed boost and recharges special abilities.
Slow Zone (Purple): Drastically reduces speed; must be avoided or navigated quickly.
Cutout Zone (Red): Temporarily disables engine control, forcing players to rely on existing momentum.
